The Los Angeles Clippers announced Tuesday night on their team website, that they have acquired Marcus Camby from the Denver Nuggets. In a move that makes one scratch their head, the Clippers got the 12 year veteran for practically nothing. In return for giving Los Angeles the NBA Defensive Player of the Year in 2006-2007, the Nuggets have the option of trading second round picks with the Clippers in 2010. Camby has led the Association for the last three seasons in blocked shots, and was a member of the NBA All-Defensive Team in the season that just finished. Camby played in 79 games for Denver this past season and averaged 9.1 points, and 13.9 boards per contest. Clippers coach Mike Dunleavy is ecstatic over?his team?acquiring Camby.?Dunleavy said “I love this acquisition for the current make up of our team. We are getting a consummate pro who is maybe the best team defender in the league and who has 60 playoff games under his belt.”

That’s awesome , they need some1 to replace Brand. Now they have the 2008 defensive player of the year ,a seasoned vet, Camby.I think the Clippers will be decent this year with the new roster including Baron Davis. They will need all the help they can get in the Western Conference.
