Here is one of the major reasons that it is so difficult to attain back to back Championships in the NBA.?The “Associated Press” reported Wednesday that the New Orleans Hornets have signed former Boston Celtics small forward James Posey to a four year contract. The deal is said to be worth $25 million over the length of the contract. Posey was a key component off the bench for the Celtics in the season just completed, especially on the defensive end of the floor. The veteran who just completed his ninth season in the Association, has won two NBA Finals in the last three years. He was also a member of the Miami Heat who won in 2005-2006. Posey’s agent Mark Bartelstien said his client did a lot of soul searching before reaching his decision. The agent said “It was a really tough decision for him. Boston was an incredible experience for him every way you look at it. If he was going to leave Boston, he wanted to make sure it was for a team that would compete for championship immediately and the Hornets certainly are in that world.”

Although Posey helped the Celtics a lot in the Finals, they can win without him.

Yea his time sure was short there in Boston. He is definately a force on the defensive end .He is also a threat at the 3 point area.I like New Orleans , so I’m glad they got Posey.
