The “Atlanta Journal-Constitution” has reported that Atlanta Hawks forward Josh Childress was in Greece on Monday looking into possibly signing a deal with Euro-League team Olympiakos. Childress is a restricted free agent, so the Hawks can match any offer sheet that the forward signs with a NBA franchise. Those restrictions would not stop Childress from playing with a Euro-League team. The player with the best Afro in?the modern day NBA, has reportedly been offered a?three year pact by the Greek team for $20 million. If Childress does play in the Euro-League, Atlanta would still control his NBA rights if he tried to return to play in the Association. The Hawks would retain his rights if they made a qualifying offer to Childress when he reapplied to play in the NBA. Childress was picked with the sixth selection in the 2004 NBA Draft.
