LBJ Likely Will Miss Team USA VS Canada Friday
Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA Injuries, Slam Dunk Olympics Central
The “Associated Press” reported Wednesday that Cleveland Cavaliers All-Star forward LeBron James will most likely miss Team USA’s exhibition game Friday against Team Canada. LBJ sat out the team scrimmage on Wednesday after spraining his right ankle Tuesday during a team practice. James landed on teammate Kevin Durant’s foot and suffered?what is being labeled a mild sprain. Team USA head coach Mike Krzyzewski said that the team is taking the conservative approach in regards to James. Krzyzewski told reporters “If the gold medal game was tomorrow, he’d play. But we’re not playing the gold medal game, or a medal round game right now. So we would rather be cautious right now. I would say right now LeBron wouldn’t play on Friday. I don’t think that’s a wise decision, especially if he hasn’t practiced.” LBJ told reporters the ankle was far less painful Wednesday than on Tuesday.
