Nick Fazekas may be feeling that way right about now as the Los Angeles Clippers announced on Saturday that they have withdrawn the qualifying offer to the power forward. The move now makes Fazekas? an unrestricted free agent. The only problem is we are not talking about the second coming of Carlos Boozer here. Fazekas?has played in a total of 26 games in the Association,?4 for the Dallas Mavericks and 22 for the Clippers?who he signed with as a free agent last March. Los Angeles signed veteran big man Brian Skinner to a? contract earlier in the week, making Fazekas?expendable. Moral of the story; always go with the sure thing.?The Clippers roster?is now at 12 players, 8 who were not with the team this past season.

The “Philadelphia Inquirer” has reported that the Philadelphia 76ers have reached an agreement with reserve point guard Louis Williams that will keep him in a Sixers uniform for five years. The deal is reportedly worth $25 million over the length of the deal. Williams because he plays behind veteran starter Andre Miller may be one of the most underrated players in the Association. However the Sixers realize how valuable he is to the team, and rewarded the restricted free agent with the new pact. Williams had his strongest campaign since being a second round pick by Philadelphia in the 2005 NBA Draft. Williams who was one of the best bargains in the Association this past season averaged 11.5 points, 3.2 assists, and was paid $770,610.
