Sixers Sign Iguodala To Six Year Deal

This past season, the Philadelphia 76ers surprised a lot of NBA observers by giving the Detroit Pistons a challenge in their first round NBA Eastern Conference Playoff series. On Tuesday according to “ESPN.com” the Sixers put their final piece in place to make?them legitimate contenders?to challenge NBA Champions the Boston Celtics as one of the elite teams in the Eastern Conference.

“ESPN.com” is reporting that Philadelphia has come to terms with restricted free agent forward Andre Iguodala, on a deal that is said to be for 6 years worth $80 million.? Iguodala who completed his fourth season in the Association along with veteran guard?Andre?Miller were the core of the Sixers team that did far better than expected. Last month Philadelphia signed free agent power forward Elton Brand, who is expected to help the team reach the next level. Iguodala, averaged 19.9 points, 5.4 rebounds, 4.8 assists, last season for Philadelphia.
