Introducing The Oklahoma City Thunder

“The Team Formerly Known As The Seattle SuperSonics” has ceased to exist. Now residing in Oklahoma City is the newest franchise in the Association, the Oklahoma City Thunder. The “Associated Press” reported that Team Chairman Clay Bennett revealed the new name and logo to the public on Wednesday. The name certainly was no surprise to anyone attending the press conference. The name had been reported back in July by an OKC television station. The team’s colors are a combination of light blue, yellow, and a reddish orange. Bennett said the name was picked because it evokes emotion. The team uniforms and mascot will be made public in a few weeks.
