Cavaliers Strengthen Bench With Addition Of Veteran Wright

The “Associated Press” reported Friday that the Cleveland Cavaliers have signed veteran forward/center Lorenzen Wright to a contract. Terms of the deal were not released. Wright who is 33 years old played in just 17 contests last season in the Association splitting his time between the Atlanta Hawks and Sacramento Kings. Wright was sent to the Kings in the deal that sent point guard Mike Bibby to the Hawks. Cleveland has been wanting to beef up it’s front court depth, since trading veteran Joe Smith to Milwaukee in the deal that brought the Cavaliers point guard Mo Williams. Wright was a first round pick by the L.A. Clippers in 1996.
