Ewing Jr. Will Wear Number Six

NYKnicks.com” reported Thursday that the newest member of the team Patrick Ewing Jr. has decide to wear the number six on his uniform jersey. The Knicks acquired Ewing from the Houston Rockets in exchange for the draft rights to center Frederic Weiss on August 29. Ewing is now with his third NBA team, since being drafted in June. He was a second round pick by the Sacramento Kings, and was traded along with Ron Artest to Houston last month. Ewing Sr. who was a Hall of Fame center with New York wore the number 33 during his career. Ewing Jr. said the reason he he had multiple reasons for choosing number six. He told the website “It was my dad’s Olympic number, and Bill Russell’s number, who was my favorite player.” Patrick, I like you already!
