The “Denver Post” reported on Monday that Denver Nuggets forward Nene says he is ready for the upcoming NBA campaign after getting in shape this Summer. Nene last season successfully battled testicular cancer, and says he is looking forward to being an integral part of the Nuggets core. Nene told reporters “I’ve been though a lot of things, the injuries, the chemotherapy. To be able to be fine through the season, I had to sacrifice my summer and be in shape early to prevent all that stuff. So that’s what I did.” The Brazilian native has completed six seasons in the Association, he was drafted in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft by Denver.
