The “Associated Press“ has reported that Houston Rockets forward Shane Battier will be out of action for at least the next four weeks, due to inflammation in his left foot. Battier underwent surgery in early May to remove some bone spurs in his ankle. A spokesman for the Rockets said that the inflammation was a result of the procedure. The former Duke player who is now 30 has played seven seasons in the Association. He was a first round selection for the Memphis Grizzlies who took him with the sixth pick in the 2001 NBA Draft.
