Jeffries Will Miss Up To Two Months With Broken Leg

The “Associated Press” reported Friday that New York Knicks forward Jared Jeffries will be sidelined for up to two months after breaking the fibula bone in his left leg Thursday. Jeffries was injured during a scrimmage session. According to the forward who will turn 27 in November he was injured while jumping. When he landed he knew he was hurt. Jeffries who was drafted by the Washington Wizards in the first round of the 2002 NBA Draft, has played for New York since 2006. Last season he averaged just over 18 minutes per game in 73 contests, but was expected to see more playing time under new coach Mike D’Antoni.
