The “Associated Press” reported that New Orleans Hornets center Tyson Chandler was taken out of the team’s preseason opening game in the first quarter after spraining his right ankle. Chandler told reporters after the game against the Golden State Warriors, that he was fine. He said he left the game for precautionary reasons. Chandler had a career year last season for the Hornets as they had 56 victories, and won the NBA Southwest Division Title. He averaged a double-double for the campaign, as he had 11.8 points, 11.7 boards per game.
