Blazers Webster Suffers Stress Fracture In Left Foot

The “Associated Press” has reported that Portland Trail Blazers forward Martell Webster has suffered a stress fracture of his left foot. The injury occurred Tuesday night as Portland defeated the Sacramento Kings in their first preseason game.  Ironically Webster was the leading scorer for the Blazers during the victory.  X-Rays taken after the game revealed a fracture of the fifth metatarsal in his left foot. The team does not know what plan of action they are taking on treating the injury. They have also declined to come with a time line of his return to action. Webster had by far his best season of his three year career last season in the Association. He averaged 10.7 points, 3.9 rebounds per game.
