Harrington Wants Out Of Golden State

The lack of a relationship between Golden State Warriors forward Al Harrington and head coach Don Nelson appears to be the catalyst that has, according to SportsTicker, Harrington requesting a trade from the team.  Harrington had told the San Francisco Chronicle on Tuesday that he and his agent met with Warriors vice president Chris Mullin to reinforce his unhappiness with Nelson and his desire to be traded.

The deteriorating of the relationship between Harrington and Nelson began at the end of the 2007 NBA season when Nelson had Harrington coming off the bench in a supporting role, with the most recent run-in being during the Warriors’ preseason game against Lithuania when Harrington refused to go back into the game after Nelson benched him.
