If tonight’s performance is any indication, it looks like no one can stop Orlando Magic center Dwight Howard at all – which explains why he is the best center in the Eastern Conference and arguably the best in the NBA.  Howard dominated the Washington Wizards…ok, he dominated the Wizards frontcourt, but still, Howard could not be stopped as he scored 31 points, leading Orlando to a 106-81 annihilation of Washington Saturday night at Amway Center.

Not a heck of a lot to expound upon about this game except that the Magic led from the tip to the final horn; they led 58-39 at halftime and never gave up their sizable lead.  But to be fair, the Wizards were missing Gilbert Arenas, who is out with a left knee injury and Brendan Haywood with right wrist injury – of which neither player is expected back any time soon.  The loss makes Washington only 1 of 2 teams that are winless – the other team being the Los Angeles Clippers.

Orlando’s leading scorer was – yes you guessed it – Howard with 31 points, 16 rebounds, 3 assists and 3 blocked shots while Mickael Pietrus added 18 with 3 rebounds, an assist and a steal.  Washington was led by reserve Nick Young with 20 points, 3 rebounds and a steal while DeShawn Stevenson added 14.  Orlando (4-2) plays again on Monday when they host the Portland Trail Blazers while Washington (0-5) hope to break into the win column when they return home to host the Utah Jazz on Wednesday.
