You Can Win A Free Copy Of TOP OF THE WORLD By Peter May
Posted by Jeff Sack under SDC Contest

The Boston Celtics in the first 39 years of the NBA won 16 Championships. They then went 22 years before reclaiming the throne last season. Veteran NBA beat reporter Peter May who covered the “Green Team” for 25 years for the “Hartford Courant” and the “Boston Globe” has documented that amazing season in an equally amazing book. It’s called “TOP OF THE WORLD: The Inside Story of the BOSTON CELTICS’ Amazing One-Year Turnaround to Become NBA Champions” published by Da Capo Press.
May takes you through all the twists and turns that led the Celtics to go from a 24 win franchise in the 2006-2007 campaign all the way to the final victory over the Los Angeles Lakers last June giving the Celtics their seventeenth Championship banner. From the acquisition of Ray Allen, and Kevin Garnett, to the Celtics embracing the concept of Ubuntu. From the incredible to start, all the way to the amazing finish Peter May will give you an inside look to the Celtics Championship run. And you can win a copy of this book absolutely free! (No purchase necessary, offer not valid in the states of Depression, Hysteria, or Panic.)
All you have to do is leave a comment at the bottom of this post, telling us what moment put you as an NBA fan on Top Of The World last season! WELL I’VE BEEN A CELTICS FAN SINCE I WAS THREE AND I’VE HAVEN’T STOPPED BEING ONE. I WAS GLAD RAY KEVIN AND OTHERS STEPPED UP AND MADE GAME WINNING DECISIONS. THEY JUST COULDN’T B STOPPED.
When my hometown Sonics were going to court to fight against their Key Arena lease, the fan support for the city put me on top of the world. I would have loved to have been at the rally with the likes of X-Man, Glove and Big Lo, but alas, I was stuck at work.
When I went back and watched the videos, chills went down my spine. When the team left, I was left at the lowest of lows. But for a (very) short period of time, I was at the highest peak.
