The Los Angeles Clippers must be one unlucky team; after all, in their past three games, at least one player has scored 30 or more points against them: Dallas Mavericks forward Dirk Nowitzki (33), Sacramento Kings guard Beno Udrih (30) and what can be described as the ultimate slap in the face – an undrafted rookie.  Who is this undrafted rookie, you ask?  He would be Anthony Morrow of the Golden State Warriors.  Against Los Angeles in their game on Saturday, Morrow scored a career-high 37 points in his first start, leading the Warriors to a convincing 121-103 win over the Clippers at Staples Center.

The game itself was never really in doubt as the Warriors led for the vast majority of the contest; Golden State’s shooting carried them through as they shot a solid 51.1% from the floor while Los Angles shot an anemic 39.6% – just complete domination by the Warriors.  The aforementioned Morrow led all Warriors scorers with 37 points, 11 rebounds and an assist while Stephen Jackson added 20 with 4 rebounds, 10 assists and 2 steals; Corey Maggette and Andris Biedrins chipped in with 17 points apiece – with Maggette grabbing 5 rebounds and dishing out 3 assists while Biedrins grabbed 16 rebounds and dished out 4 assists.

Los Angeles was led by former Warriors point guard Baron Davis with 25 points, 4 rebounds, 11 assists,  and 3 steals while Cuttino Mobley added 19 with 3 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal; Chris Kaman contributed 15 with 13 rebounds, a steal and a blocked shot.  Golden State (4-6) does not play again until Tuesday when they return home to host the Portland Trail Blazers while Los Angeles (1-8) remains home to host the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night.
