Hedo It Again! Magic De-Claw Bobcats 90-85

Orlando Magic forward Hedo Turkoglu scored a game high 20 points, as he led his team over the Charlotte Bobcats Sunday 90-85. Turkoglu came up big, in a game which center Dwight Howard was rendered ineffective by foul trouble. Howard scored just 4 points for the Magic, before fouling out with 3:18 left in the contest. The other four Orlando starters shouldered the extra load as they would all score in double figures.
Charlotte, perhaps energized by the home crowd took the early lead and were up 21-19 at the end of the first quarter. The second quarter consisted of a series of scoring spurts, for each team. The Bobcats started out the period on an 8-2 run as Adam Morrison made back to back treys putting his team up 29-21 with 9:18 left in the quarter. Orlando then responded as they scored 11 unanswered points, putting them ahead 32-29 as Jameer Nelson hit an outside shot with 4:48 remaining on the clock. Charlotte would grab the lead back quickly and at the half were on top 43-38.
Orlando would take the lead back as Mickael Pietrus hit a 23 foot trey putting his team ahead 55-51 with 5:43 left in the third quarter. They never trailed again in the quarter and led 65-61 heading into the fourth. Charlotte would never get any closer to the Magic than being 3 points down and the Magic won going away.
Turkoglu scored 20 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, in the Orlando victory. Mickael Pietrus added 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 steals, 1 block, Rashard Lewis had 17 points, 6 rebounds, 3 blocks, 1 assist. Jameer Nelson put in 15 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals.
The Bobcats were led by Gerald Wallace who dropped 19 points, 9 boards, 1 assist, 1 steal. Raymond Felton added 14 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 block, Adam Morrison came off the bench with 14 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist. Orlando improves to 7-3, Charlotte after the loss has a 3-6 record.
