LBJ & Billups Named NBA Players Of The Week

The NBA announced on Monday that Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James has been named the Eastern Conference Player Of The Week for games that were played from November 10 through November 16. Denver Nuggets point Chauncey Billups was named as his counterpart in the NBA Western Conference. LBJ has been given the award for the second consecutive week in the young NBA campaign.

James helped the Cavaliers attain three wins last week, while he averaged an Association high of 33.7 points, 8 assists, and 6 rebounds, per contest. James has now been named the NBA Eastern Conference Player Of The Week 15 times during his career. Billlups who was traded to the Nuggets earlier this month, in the deal that sent Allen Iverson to the Detroit Pistons helped the Nuggets defeat the defending NBA Champions the Boston Celtics last week. Billups and the Nuggets had a 2-1 record last week.
