The reigning NBA Eastern Conference Player Of The Week (actually two consecutive weeks) Cleveland Cavaliers forward LeBron James set another record Tuesday night to add to the string of accomplishments he has set so far in his career. LBJ became the youngest player in NBA history to score 11,000 points, as Cleveland defeated the New Jersey Nets 106-82. James broke the record in the first quarter of the game. Lebron at the age of 23 years, 324 days, broke the mark set by the L.A. Lakers guard Kobe Bryant who accomplished the feat at 25 years, 99 days.

The Nets had a slim 28-26 lead at the end of the first quarter. They would be ahead of Cleveland 48-39 when Bobby Simmons hit a pair at the line with just under 4:00 in the second. The Cavaliers went on a 10-2 spurt as Sash Pavlovic hit an outside shot to make it a 50-49 contest with 8 seconds in the quarter. Devin Harris hit a pair at the line to make it 52-49 at the half.

The Cavaliers kept the hot hand to start off the third as they went on a 12-0 run to make it 61-52 when Delonte West hit a trey with 8:51 left in the period. Cleveland would dominate for the rest of the quarter as the score was 77-65 heading into the final 12 minutes. New Jersey was never able to get even within single digits of the Cavaliers in the fourth quarter.

LeBron James scored a game high 31 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block, in the Cleveland victory. Mo Williams added 16 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, Delonte West also had 16 points, including going 4-4 from outside the arc, 5 rebounds, 2 steals,1 assist. Zydrunas Ilgauskas put in 13 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 1 block.

Nets point guard Devin Harris would lead his team with 23 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds, 2 steals. Rookie Brook Lopez recorded a double-double as he dropped 15 points, grabbed 13 boards, 1 steal, Vince Carter scored 12 points, 6 assists, 4 rebounds. Keyon Dooling came off the bench and put in 10 points, 6 rebounds, 1 steal, 1 assist. Cleveland after the win has a record of 9-2, New Jersey falls to 4-6.
