When the Nets arena in New Jersey was known as Continental Arena, it use to be a house of horrors for the Cavaliers. Now known as the IZOD Center, the Cavs made it more of an area of their own on Tuesday night topping the young Nets 106-82. The team is rolling, eight straight wins, playing well on both sides of the ball, and looking more and more like a team that can make a serious run at the NBA Title in June.

The team was led by LeBronJames, who put on a show with 31 points, 8 rebounds and four assists. With all the talk this past week about the Cavs star being upset at the Cavs fans over their booing him over not him scoring to get them free tacos (what has this world come to?!), it was nice to see the Akron native come up with big plays to put the Nets away early in the second half.

What Cavs fans should be more worried about is if LeBron will be around after 2010. As always playing in New Jersey, rumors were flying pregame about James jumping ship after next season to play for his good friend and Nets co-owner Jay-Z. James was asked about leaving the Cavs before the game last night. “I think you do what is best for you and you do what is best for your career,” James said when asked about his sense of loyalty to the Cavaliers before they played the Nets.

For now, James is in Cleveland, and as long as he’s here, the Cavs are going to be very tough to beat. He combined with Mo Williams, who had 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Delonte West also added 16 points for the Cavs, who trailed by two after the first quarter, three at the half, then dominated the third quarter, outscoring the Nets 28-13.

The Cavs continue overall to be a big second half club, Saturday night beating up the Jazz in the second half, and against the Nets outscoring them in the 3rd and 4thquarters 57-30 to gain the 24-point win. The team also got solid play from the bench, putting in 27 points with Anderson Varejao putting in 8 points and five assists.

Now at 9-2, the team will be right back in action tonight against the second best team in the division right now – the Pistons. Cleveland leads Detroit by 1.5 in the Central Division, as the Pistons come into action at 7-3.
