Bum Knee Puts T-Mac On Shelf For Three Weeks
Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA Injuries

The “Associated Press” reported Tuesday that Houston Rockets guard Tracy McGrady will probably miss the next three weeks as he still tries to recover from an arthroscopic on his left knee performed on May 6. T-Mac had not played the last three games for Houston, he had been in the starting lineup for the club for the first 15 games of the campaign. McGrady was examined by famed orthopedic surgeon Dr. James Andrews Monday, and confirmed an earlier diagnosis that the veteran suffered from general soreness in the knee. Andrews told T-Mac he would need no further surgical procedures.
The veteran told reporters “Obviously, I came back a little bit too early. I’m just not ready. I don’t want to be out there limping like I was and not really being myself. Now I’ve got some sort of peace of mind. I don’t have to worry about whether it’s going to take the whole season for me to get healthy and what I’ve got to do for me to get back to 100 percent. I don’t have to have to go under the knife again. I’m relieved.”
