Lakers Starters Score In Double-Digits, Gun Down Bucks 105-92
Posted by Stephen Rhodes under NBA Game Recap

You know you’re in trouble if you’re the Milwaukee Bucks and not a single starter in your lineup scores in double-digits; add to that 38% shooting and not being capable of much scoring on 25 Los Angeles Lakers turnovers and your prospects of winning are slim and none – and slim left Staples Center on Sunday night as all of the Lakers’ starters scored in double-digits, leading Los Angeles to a relatively easy 105-92 win.
Things went sour for the Bucks early as they missed their first seven shots; they were outscored 24-16 in the opening period and 19-15 in the second quarter, going into halftime with a 12-point deficit. The Lakers never trailed in the contest as they ignited a 16-4 run, capped by a layup by Pau Gasol with 8:08 left in the third period; the Bucks never really were able to keep up after that offensive onslaught.
Los Angeles was led by Kobe Bryant with 20 points, 5 rebounds, 8 assists and 2 steals while Derek Fisher added 19 (including 3 treys) with 2 rebounds, an assist and 5 steals; Andrew Bynum recorded a double-double, scoring 14 with 14 rebounds, an assist and a blocked shot. Milwaukee was led by Joe Alexander with 15 points, 2 rebounds and a steal while Luc Richard Mbah a Moute added 14 with 6 rebounds, 2 assists, 4 steals and a blocked shot. Los Angeles (17-2) plays again on Tuesday when they travel to Sacramento as they face the Kings while Milwaukee (9-13) makes the short trip to Phoenix to take on the Suns – also on Tuesday night.
