Wednesday the “Los Angeles Times” reported that Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar will have surgery on Wednesday for a torn meniscus in his left knee. Farmar may miss up to eight weeks recovering from the procedure. The former UCLA player is in his third season in the Association, all with the Lakers. He has career averages of 7.1 points, 2.4 assists, and 2 rebounds per game. Los Angeles head coach Phil Jackson told reporters he thought Farmar should be back around the NBA All-Star break which is mid-February.
