For the second home game in a row, the Cavaliers played gracious hosts for about three quarters, then when they had to where able to turn it on. Sunday night at the Q they did it again to the Miami Heat, winning their 16th straight home game, topping Miami 93-86. It wasn’t as easy as it sounds, as the team was trailing by nine points in the fourth quarter, only to go on 26-11 run over the last eight minutes to seal the win.

The game was a showcase between two of the NBA’s best in LeBron James and Dwayne Wade, and neither disappointed. James popped in a game high 33 points, while Wade finished with 29. It was LeBron though that got a little more help from his teammates, as Mo Williams scored 20 before fouling out and Ben Wallace had 14 rebounds for the Cavs, who won their sixth straight.

The Heat went up 75-67 with 8:09 to play, and that’s when the Cavs turned on the defense and started hitting big shots on offense. They went on an 10-2 run to tie the game at 77, and by then, the Heat were totally out of their game. The Heat were only able to manage 19 fourth quarter points, while the Cavs were red-hot on both sides of the ball, as they scored 35 in the decisive quarter.

Delonte West scored 11 points and had four steals to help the Cavs gain the win. The Cavs were out shot 43 to 40 percent, and missed 11 free throws, but in the end, had that something extra thanks to James and his teammates to pull it out. The Heat fall to 16-13 with the setback, but will have a shot at revenge in just two days as the teams will play again in Miami on Tuesday night at 7:30pm.
