The Portland Trail Blazers shot a red-hot 55.8% (43-77) from the floor for the game including  shooting 50% (10-20) from outside the arc as the they hammered the Utah Jazz 122-108 at the Rose Garden Saturday. Utah had a good shooting night as well hitting 54.4% (37-68) of their shots, but their lack of depth with Carlos Boozer and Andrei Kirilenko both sidelined due to injuries, and a strong opening quarter by the Blazers would get the best of them. Jazz point guard Deron Williams led all players with 35 points, while Portland All-Star guard Brandon Roy had 30 points in the victory. The win was the fourth straight for the Trail Blazers.

 Portland came out shooting in the first, grabbing a 33-26 advantage at the end of the quarter. Utah responded in the second, but the Blazers still had the upper hand at the half leading 52-47. The Trail Blazers seemed rejuvenated upon taking the floor in the third leading by 20 points at 84-64 with 3:04 to play when Nicolas Batum knocked down a 23 foot trey. Utah would make up some ground in the closing minutes of the quarter, but Portland still had an impressive 90-73 lead as the two teams entered the fourth quarter. The final score was the closest the Jazz got the rest of the evening.

Brandon Roy dropped 30 points, 5 assists, and 3 rebounds, while the rookie Nicolas Batum added 16 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. Joel Pryzbilla came off the bench and had a monster game recording a double-double, 14 points, and he grabbed 17 boards,  LaMarcus Aldridge also had 14 points, 6 rebounds, and 4 assists. Rudy Fernandez came off the bench with 13 points, and 4 assists, while Travis Outlaw also came up big coming in off the pine with 11 points, 3 rebounds, and 2 assists.

Deron Williams led all players as he had 35 points, 5 assists, 2 rebounds, and 2 steals, while Mehmet Okur would contribute 18 points, and 7 rebounds. Ronnie Brewer scored 17 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 assists. C.J. Miles added 12 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 steal. Portland improves to 29-17, Utah now has a record of 26-22.
