Bobcats Wallace Will Not Return Until After All-Star Break

The “Associated Press” reported Wednesday that Charlotte Bobcats small forward Gerald Wallace will not be activated before the All-Star break as he recovers from a partially collapsed lung and broken rib. Wallace was injured last month in a game against the Los Angeles Lakers when center Andrew Bynum knocked him to the floor with a flagrant foul. Wallace was allowed to finally leave Los Angeles Tuesday, however he is not allowed to fly. Instead he is taking the bus back to Charlotte (the Bobcats couldn’t have gotten him a limo?) He is expected to arrive back home either late Wednesday or Thursday. Wallace will be allowed to fly again on February 11, however the team has not speculated on a date for his return to action.
