Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA Game Recap

Kevin Durant scored 31 points, Nick Collison had 21 more, and Jeff Green added 20 points, as the Oklahoma City Thunder thrilled their home crowd Friday night with a 102-93 victory over the Portland Trail Blazers. The Thunder shot 50% (40-80) to get home win number nine. Brandon Roy led all players as he scored 32 in the loss for the Blazers.
OKC would dominate in the first quarter, and Portland never really mounted a legitimate challenge for the balance of the game. The Thunder came out strong in the opening period and they would end the quarter on top 37-25. The game officially became a blowout as the two teams reached the half with Oklahoma City walking into the locker room leading 60-40. Portland was able to make up some ground in the third, but it was far too little, and far too late, as the Thunder led 81-66 heading into the fourth. The Blazers never came close to mounting a serious challenge in the final 12 minutes.
Kevin Durant had 31 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal, while Nick Collison recorded a double-double, 21 points, 13 boards, 1 assist, and 1 block. Jeff Green scored 20 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals, and 1 assist, while Earl Watson came off the bench with a double-double, 12 points, 11 assists, 4 rebounds, and 1 steal. Rookie Russell Westbrook added 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, and 1 steal.
Brandon Roy had an amazing night but it was not enough for his team. The All-Star had a game high 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 6 assists. Travis Outlaw came off the pine and dropped 20 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 block, while LaMarcus Aldridge scored 18 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 blocks, and 2 steals. The Thunder improve to 12-38, while Portland is now 30-19.
