Houston, We’ve Got A Problem; Bucks Ground Rockets 124-112

Ramon Sessions scored 26 points, while Richard Jefferson and Charlie Villanueva each scored 25, as the Milwaukee Bucks handily defeated the Houston Rockets Monday night 124-112, in a game that was not near as close as the final score indicates. The Bucks opened up with a strong first quarter lead, and kept building from there. Houston was able to make the margin look more respectable during extended garbage time in the final 12 minutes of play.
Injuries have taken a major toll on the Bucks with leading scorer Michael Redd lost for the season, and center Andrew Bogut shut down for at least 8 weeks with a stress fracture to his back. However you would never know by watching this contest, that Milwaukee is missing any key personnel, as they were firing on all cylinders against Houston.
The Bucks came out aggressively in the first grabbing a 32-23 lead at the end of the quarter. Houston stormed back in the second, tying the contest at 53-53 with 3:19 remaining as Luis Scola drove the lane putting the ball up and in. However the Rockets would soon trail again, and Milwaukee would walk into the locker room on top 64-58. The contest officially became a blow out during the third as Milwaukee just dominated from the start of the period, and led at the end of the quarter 98-76. Houston was able to get the final score more palatable as the final 12 minutes of play was just extended garbage time.
Ramon Sessions led all players with 26 points, 7 assists, 4 rebounds, 4 steals, and 1 block, while Charlie Villanueva would drop 25 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals. Richard Jefferson also scored 25 points, 4 assists, and 4 rebounds, while Charlie Bell came off the bench with 21 points, 2 steals, and 1 rebound. Keith Bogans also came in off the bench and added 13 points, and 3 rebounds, in the win..
Aaron Brooks came offf the pine for the Rockets with a team high 23 points, 3 assists, and 1 rebound, Luis Scola added 20 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal. Ron Artest also contributed 20 points, 4 rebounds, and 1 assist, while Carl Landry had 16 points, and 7 rebounds. Milwaukee now has a 25-29 record, while Houston is 31-21.
