Bulls Pick Up Salmons And Miller From Kings In Multi-Player Deal

The “Chicago Sun-Times” reported a multi-player deal Wednesday between the Chicago Bulls and the Sacramento Kings. Chicago picks up veteran center Brad Miller, and rising young talent swingman John Salmons, in exchange for forwards Drew Gooden, Andres Nocioni, and Cedric Simmons, along with big man Michael Ruffin. The Kings then traded Ruffin to the Portland Trail Blazers for forward Ike Diogu.
Salmons came to the attention of a lot of NBA observers when he got extended playing time after the injury to guard Kevin Martin last season. This season he has truly broken out, as he is averaging 18.3 points, 4.2 rebounds, 3.7 assists, per game. Miller is in his eleventh season in the Association. He has averaged 12.1 points, 7.8 rebounds in his NBA career.
