Delonte Delights Cleveland Fans Cavaliers Shoot Down Bucks 91-73

Coming off a tough road trip with winning three of four games, it would have been easy for the Cavs to return home Tuesday night and not have a solid effort vs the Milwaukee Bucks. But that’s not how this Cavaliers team rolls. Led by a solid outing from Delonte West in which he had 13 points and 8 steals, the Cavs improve to 48-12 with a 91-73 win.

West was as pesky as ever, stealing Bucks passes for what seemed like all night, and never allowing the Bucks to get back in the game even though they did hang around for much of the evening. The Cavs had five players in double digits, led by LeBron James with 23, Mo Williams with 15, and Zydrunas Ilgauskas with 14.

The team shot 52 percent from three-point range, and also hit 41 percent form the field. With West leading the way, the team was able to grab 14 steals on the night. Milwaukee, now 29-35, were swept by the Cavaliers in the season series. They did get a solid night from Richard Jefferson, who led the way with 29 points.

The game never really was a blowout till close to the very end, as the Bucks were able to play just good enough to hang around. Cleveland led 22-20 after one quarter, then 48-39 at the half. Milwaukee fell further behind as the Cavs outscored them 24-19 in the third to go up 72-58, and then outscored them 19-15 to close out the game leading by 18.

The Cavs will now flex their muscles and get ready for maybe their toughest road test of the season as they head to Boston to take on the Celtics on Friday night at 8pm. Newly signed Joe Smith should be up to speed and ready to go for the Cavs, as they will need a solid effort from all to get past the Celtics, who are still hanging around with the Cavs for the best record in the Eastern Conference.
