Stackhouse Most Likely on Shelf For Season
Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA Injuries, NBA News

The “Dallas Morning News” Tuesday reported that Dallas Mavericks veteran shooting guard Jerry Stackhouse may spend the rest of this season unable to play. Stack who is in his fourteenth season in the Association has been hobbled by a sore foot the entire campaign. The veteran has been limited to playing just 10 games this season and for the first time in his career is averaging below double figures in points per game.
Stack who was selected third overall in the 1995 NBA Draft by the Philadelphia 76ers has seen his role shift over the last few seasons. He went from being a game-changer as a starter in his salad days to a key veteran off the bench the last couple of years. Mavericks President of Basketball Operations Donnie Nelson told reporters he held out hope that the veteran guard could possibly be a weapon this season. Nelson said ”You never know what might happen in the playoffs.”
