Raging Rajon Helps Celtics Untangle Nets; Win 106-104

Rajon Rondo is the X-Factor for the Boston Celtics; As Rajon goes so go the Celtics. When the Green Team point guard is at the top of his game his club is unstoppable. He was Wednesday night as the Celtics defeated the New Jersey Nets in a come from behind victory 106-104. Rondo led the way for the team with 31 points and Boston shot 51.9% (41-79) from the floor for the game. Team Streak aka the Celtics have now won 5 straight games.
The two opponents went from feast to famine and famine to feast in the first half. The Nets opened up with a very strong first quarter as they grabbed a 31-21 advantage. Boston would reverse the process in the second quarter as they would walk into the locker room on top 58-51. Vince Carter who looked like he was back in his salad days in this contest would knot the score up at 69-69 with 6:03 in the third when he would drain a 26 foot trey.
The Celtics got the momentum back on their side however and would hold a 81-78 lead as the period drew to a close. Boston led the entire fourth quarter however the Nets had an opportunity to win the game when Vinsanity missed a trey with 8 seconds to play. New Jersey then had one last opportunity to tie the game and send into over time as Devin Harris missed a mid range jumper with 1 second on the clock.
Rajon Rondo led Boston with 31 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists, 3 steals and 1 block while Eddie House once again came up big off the bench with 15 points and 2 assists. Center Kendrick Perkins put 12 points on the board, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block while Ray Allen also had 12 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds. Paul Pierce added 10 points, 4 assists, 2 steals, 1 block and 1 rebound.
Vince Carter led all player with a double-double 33 points, 12 boards, 5 assists and 1 steal while Devin Harris put up 16 points, 5 assists and 1 steal. Keyon Dooling scored 14 points, 6 assists, 2 steals and 1 rebound while rookie center Brooke Lopez scored 12 points, 8 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 block. Ryan Anderson contributed 10 points, 5 rebounds and 2 assists while Bobby Simmons also added 10 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assist. Boston after the victory has a 59-19 record while the Nets fall to 32-46.
