There Seems To Be A Need For Sheed

Posted by Jeff Sack under Main

Almost assuredly Detroit Pistons veteran big man Rasheed Wallace will not be playing in a Pistons uniform next season. Wallace will become an unrestricted free agent, and with the Pistons going into rebuild mode will most likely not even attempt bring him back. However there do seem to be suitors for Wallace for next season, if he is willing to accept a mid-level exception slot. The “New York Times” has reported that the San Antonio Spurs are very interested in Wallace spending season number 15 of his career with them if he would settle for the mid-level exception.

The “News Herald” in a story filed by my old pal Bob Finan stated that the Cleveland Cavaliers may also have an interest in Sheed if they can make the money work. Ironically Wallace and the Pistons were knocked out of the playoffs by the Cavaliers as they were swept in their first round series.
