Less than 24 hours after losing a first round Playoff series to the Denver Nuggets Wednesday night reports are emanating out of the “Big Easy” that could spell the end for the New Orleans Hornets current edition. Thursday “Booth Newspapers” reported that the Hornets may look to trade center Tyson Chandler and power forward David West.

The reports about Chandler are really not that surprising; New Orleans had attempted to trade the center in February to the Oklahoma City Thunder. However the trade fell apart after Chandler failed a physical. The addition of West’s name to the mix is unexpected as the forward is coming off back to back All-Star seasons. The reports say that the Detroit Pistons have shown interest in West and the team is in a rebuild mode. West averaged 21 points and 8.5 rebounds per game this past season.
