Suns Kerr Says He Scoffs At Trade Rumors

Pay no attention to any rumors you hear or read is the message that Phoenix Suns General Manager Steve Kerr is trying to convey to his team’s fans according to “The Arizona Republic” Monday. Kerr told reporters that there is absolutely no basis to reports that have the Suns trading Amare Stoudemire to the Washington Wizards or Boston Celtics. Kerr has not been afraid to pull the trigger on deals in his tenure with Phoenix as he has acquired Shaquille O’Neal and Jason Richardson in his two years with the team.

Kerr though says that any reports of Stoudemire’s days with the team being numbered is at the very least premature. Kerr told reporters “There’s a lot of stuff flying around out there that has no basis. There’s just a ton of speculation but there really is nothing substantial going on. With most of these deals being speculated about, I haven’t even had a conversation with the opposing team. I read this stuff and laugh!”
