We Need An NBA All-Star Game At The White House On July 4TH!

Our Nation is in crisis mode as we have passed the half-way point of 2009. Unemployment is at 9% our economy is in the worst shape since the Great Depression. Detroit and our auto-industry is in tatters and we have no idea if it can ever regain the prominence it once had. There are trouble spots all over the planet where violence could break out at anytime. We Need A Hero! Or at the very least we need something to root for as a Nation something for us to rally behind! And I think I have come up with the perfect solution!

I am sending out a plea to our President to give our Country an incredible present on the Nation’s Birthday this July 4. I am asking for him to extend an invitation to the Association’s best to join him in an All-Star Exhibition Game at the White House on July 4. And yes I want to see President Obama on the court along with Kobe, LeBron, D-Wade, CP3 and Superman! Can you think of a better way to get Americans cheering again?

If there is a White House basketball court already in place we have not heard about it; however that does not mean it does not exist! And if there is not one well this is the President of the greatest Nation on the Planet! Are you telling me they can not put something together in time?

How exciting would it be to see our Commander In Chief trying to put a move on Deron Williams? How proud would you be if the President can sink one from downtown? The Nation would be pumped for weeks! Now I believe that it would only be right and fair for President Obama to play on both sides. Of course every player would feel like school kids to have him on their team; so he would have to switch teams at the half. I am not looking for major minutes from the President we do not want him tearing an ACL! Just long enough that he gets to play with every player so they will have something to tell their grandchildren one day!

So I am hoping that we hear soon after the Finals have ended that White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is on the phone with NBA Commissioner David Stern working on the details! We who are basketball fans have been waiting for this moment ever since President Obama won the election last November. So Please Mr. President make my dreams come true! Lets celebrate July 4TH with the greatest hoops game of all time! Our Nation is counting on you Sir!
