ESPN  NBA reporter Chad Ford has reported that the Milwaukee Bucks have traded forward Richard Jefferson to the San Antonio Spurs for Bruce Bowen, Kurt Thomas and Fabricio Oberto. The trade would end Jefferson’s stint with the Bucks after just one season after coming over in a trade from the New Jersey Nets last Summer.

The deal would be purely financial for Milwaukee as they are interested in retaining Charlie Villanueva who will become a free agent next month. Jefferson however could turn out to be a key addition for the Spurs who have been in need of a wing-man on the team. San Antonio won the NBA Finals in 2007 against the Cleveland Cavaliers but were knocked out the Playoffs early on this past season.
