Cavaliers In Lull Before They Storm Free Agency
Posted by Matt Loede under NBA Free Agents, NBA Rumors

Now is the official “slow down” peroid for the Cavaliers and the rest of the NBA, but don’t expect the team to sit very long as they await to see what other teams around the league do during the holiday weekend. There’s already been a shift in some of the top tier free agents, as the Cavaliers lost out on a couple of them the last few days, most notably Ron Artest and Trevor Ariza.
Now there are various reports around the web that the team will make a big push for swing-man Anthony Parker from Toronto, but some of that will have to do with what happens to Hedo Turkoglu. Friday talks with the Blazers and Turkoglu broke off, and now it appears that the Raptors are in the lead for his services.
The latest report says that if the Raptors sign Turkoglu, they may renounce their rights to Parker and forward Shawn Marion, giving the Cavs more incentive to sign them. The PD says that the Cavaliers may have an interest in Marion if he does not re-sign with the Raptors.
