This has been quite a busy summer for NBA veteran Devean George. Earlier this season he was traded by the Dallas Mavericks to the Toronto Raptors in the trade that brought the Mavericks Shawn Marion. Earlier this week George was traded yet again to the Golden State Warriors in return for guard Marco Bellinelli. The Warriors also received cash in the transaction.

George has no problems with all the activity that has gone on this summer he told the “San Francisco Chronicle.” However now that he is a member of the team from Northern California he wants to make something clear; he expects to play. the veteran who just completed his tenth season in the NBA told reporters “I didn’t come here just to sit on the bench. I came here to get in the rotation and help the team.”

Whether those desires will come to fruition remain to be seen. After not making the NBA Playoffs the last two seasons the Warriors game plan is to try to get as many minutes for the teams younger players as possible. One player that the team would really like to see play a lot is their NBA lottery pick Stephen Curry. Golden State has high hopes for the rookie hoping he can be a player that they can build around in the years ahead.
