It looks like the Cleveland Cavaliers have made their first cuts prior to the regular season as the Associated Press reports that the team waived forward Rob Kurz and center Luke Nevill on Monday.
Kurz played 40 games for the Golden State Warriors last season; during this preseason, he averaged 3.4 PPG and 1.8 RPG in five games while Nevill, a graduate from Utah, was basically brought in as a warm body for starting center Shaquille O’Neal to bang into. With the two subtractions, Cleveland’s roster is now down to 18 players.
