Cavaliers Have Plenty Of Treats In 90-79 Halloween Victory Over Bobcats!

It was Halloween at the Q Arena in Cleveland and the Cleveland Cavaliers had plenty of treats for their fans and the Charlotte Bobcats could not deal with the Cavaliers tricks as Cleveland would get an 90-79 victory which was not as close as the final score indicated. The win the second in two nights brings them to a .500 record after losing the first two games of the campaign.
Cleveland fans also got another treat as guard Delonte West made his first appearance of the season after dealing with his bi-polar disorder. West got a standing ovation from the home crowd when he came into the contest with 4:22 remaining in the first quarter. West had a strong game scoring 13 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds after not playing in any of the preseason games.
This was the most balanced effort of the young season for Cleveland as the team shot 58.1%(36-62) from the floor and 56.3% (9-16) from outside the arc. They also had five players in double figures led by Mo Williams as the Cavaliers point guard had 24 points going 5-8 from three point territory.
Charlotte was able to keep the game close in the first half but the Cavaliers were able to run away with it in the second half. Cleveland would hold a slim 25-21 advantage at the end of the first quarter. The Bobcats matched the home team point for point in second and the Cavaliers walked into the locker room at the half leading 45-41.
Cleveland started player much stronger defense and becoming more proficient with the trey in the third and would head into the final period leading 66-54. The Cavaliers would have their lead up to 19 points in the fourth quarter before removing their starters.
Mo Williams led all players with 24 points, 3 assists, 1 block and 1 steal in the Cleveland victory. LeBron James came pretty darn close to getting his second triple-double of the young season as the reigning NBA MVP scored 24 points, 9 rebounds and had 7 assists. Anthony Parker is turning into a nice offensive weapon so far for the Cavaliers as he had 13 points, 2 assists, 2 rebounds and 2 steals while Zydrunas Ilgauskas for the second straight night came off the bench and scored in double figures as he had 10 points, 5 big blocks, 3 rebounds and 1 assist.
The B-Cats leading scorer came off the bench as Vladimir Radmanovic had 12 points, 1 assist, 1 rebound and 1 steal while Gerald Wallace added 11 points, 9 rebounds and 2 steals. D.J. Augustin came off the pine with 11 points, 5 assists and 2 rebounds while Raymond Felton scored 10 points, 3 assists and 1 steal. Cleveland improves to a record of 2-2 they will host the Washington Wizards on Tuesday night. Charlotte is now 1-2 and will play host to the New Jersey Nets Monday.
