Each day that we walk on this planet we can learn something from somebody. Sometimes people display behavior that you want to emulate as you will believe it will help you in the future. Sometimes we can learn how not to react in certain situations after we witness someone make a foolish mistake.

If you ever plan on being an NBA Team Owner then realize that on Thursday New Orleans Hornets Team Owner George Shinn showed the wrong way of handling a situation. When your team made some bad off-season moves and is currently suffering injuries the last thing you want to do is fire your head coach after a disappointing 3-6 start.

However according to the “New Orleans Times Picayune Shinn decided to do exactly that as he fired NBA Head Coach of the Year in 2008 Byron Scott Thursday and replaced him with the team’[s General Manager Jeff Bower. Bower who worked his way up through the Hornets organization became General Manager before the 2005-2006 season.

The Hornets were not the same team heading into the season as they had been the last couple of campaigns; this reporter predicted before the season that they would start a downward spiral this season.n However to put any of the blame of the team’s failures on Scott shows how clueless Shinn really is.

This is the worst firing I have seen in all of my years following the NBA. The problem wasn’t Scott! The problem was ownership trying to shed salary to get under the cap. Scott will land on his feat. I still can’t believe they kicked him to the curb after winning coach of the yr two years ago!!!!
