King James Scores 40 While Cavaliers Rally In 4th Quarter; Beat Pacers 105-95!

LeBron James led five Cleveland players in double figures as he scored a game high 40 points and the Cavaliers overcame a deficit at the end of the third to beat the Indiana Pacers 105-95 Friday night. The Cavaliers took the lead with a little more than 7:00 to play as Mo Williams hit 3 straight shot at the line and they never let the lead out of their hands the rest of the night.
The Pacers also had five players that broke double-digits in the scoring column led by their star Danny Granger with 19 points. The victory ended Cleveland’s losing streak at just one game; they have now gone 9-2 since starting out the campaign with an 0-2 record.
Both teams shot the lights out in the opening period and at the end of the first quarter the game was deadlocked at 38-38. The Cavaliers were able to put themselves in the lead by the time the game reached the half walking into the locker room on top by a 66-61 margin.
Cleveland came back in the third looking out of sync and could barely find the basket. The Pacers were able to take advantage of the Cavaliers shooting malaise and would hold the lead as the teams entered the fourth with score 82-77.
Cleveland would start out quarter scoring the first five points and the game was knotted up again at 82-82 with 10:30 left in the game as Jamario Moon drained a 23 foot trey. With 7:07 remaining Earl Watson would foul Cavaliers guard Mo Williams as he attempted a three point shot. Williams would make all three shots at the line and Cleveland would take the lead for the night at 87-86.
LeBron James led all players with a game high 40 points, 9 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 block and 1 steal in the Cavaliers victory. Mo Williams put up 18 points, 4 assists, 3 rebounds and 1 steal while J.J. Hickson had another good night as he contributed 15 points, 7 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal. Anthony Parker scored 12 points, 5 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal while Anderson Varejao came off the bench and had 10 points, 7 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.
Danny Granger led the way for the Pacers with 19 points, 9 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 blocks. Dahntay Jones scored 17 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 steal while Brandon Rush added 16 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists. T.J. Ford got the start and had 14 points, 4 assists, 4 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal while Troy Murphy came off the bench and recorded a double-double with 12 points, 10 boards, 2 steals and 1 assist. Cleveland now sporting a 9-4 record will host Philadelphia Saturday while Indiana now at 5-5 will be in Charlotte on Sunday to take on the Bobcats.
