Nets News And Notes

Both good and bad news came from the New Jersey Nets’ practice on Monday, according to Andy McCullough of the Newark Star-Ledger; I’ll start with the bad first.

During Monday’s team practice, center Brook Lopez sprained his right ankle while contesting a shot; he spent the rest of the practice getting treatment as X-rays were not required. As a result, coach Lawrence Frank has Lopez listed as “day-to-day” as the Nets are about to embark on a four-game West Coast road trip. The same can be said for shooting guard Courtney Lee; that happens to be the good news.

Lee returned to a full practice for the first time since he suffered a groin injury which had sidelined him earlier this month; according to Lee, he seems to be fine. Frank was less sure as he stated that he may or may not play but if he does, he will come off the bench.
