The Cleveland Cavaliers shot 50% (34-68) from the floor and 52.9% (9-17) from outside the arc and basically took the second half off on Wednesday as they beat the Detroit Pistons Wednesday 98-88. LeBron James led all player with 34 points in the victory. Cleveland had an 18 point lead at the half and put the game on cruise control with no concerns in the second half.

The tone was set for this contest in the first as the Cavaliers would end the period on top of Detroit 28-19. Things did not improve much for the Pistons in the second as Cleveland would head into the locker room at the half leading 60-42. Detroit was able to make the game look more respectable on the score sheet in the second half as they outscored the Cavaliers by a 46-38 margin yet still would lose the game by double digits.

LeBron James had a game high 34 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 1 steal while Mo Williams added 14 points, 8 assists, 2 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block in the Cavaliers victory. Anthony Parker would put up 13 points, 3 rebounds and 1 assists while Daniel Gibson came off the bench with 13 points, 2 assists and 1 steal. Jamario Moon also had a nice game off of the bench contributing 11 points, 3 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assist.

Rodney Stuckey led the Piston with 25 points, 6 rebounds and 2 steals. Charlie Villanueva scored 19 points, 8 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assist while Jason Maxiell came off the bench and had 10 points and 4 rebounds. Cleveland now has a record of 11-4 and will be in Charlotte Friday to tangle with the Bobcats. Detroit now has a 5-10 mark and will host the Los Angeles Clippers Friday.
