Sizzling Shooting By Celtics Turn B-Cats Into Kittens! Boston Wins 108-90!
Posted by Jeff Sack under NBA Game Recap

The Boston Celtics have been on an offensive role over the last few games but it would take a lot to better their line-totals in Tuesday night’s 108-90 pummeling of the Charlotte Bobcats. The Celtics shot a sizzling 54.5%( 36-66) from the floor for the game and a blazing 58.8% (10-17) from outside the arc. Ray Allen led the Boston offensive attack with a game high 27 points and center Kendrick Perkins recorded a double-double in the victory. It was the fifth straight win for the Celtics who now are at 14-4 so far still early in the NBA season.
On the other side of the court Charlotte did not have a good night offensively mainly due to ineffectiveness of Bobcats small forward Gerald Wallace who was just 1-6 from the field and ended with a total of 5 points for the evening. The team was led by Nazr Mohammed who came off the bench with 16 points while Raymond Felton led the starters with 14.
For all intent and purposes this game ended at the conclusion of the first half as Boston had built themselves quite a substantial cushion. The Celtics came out with guns blazing in the first pulling out to a 29-18 advantage at the end of the quarter. Charlotte would fall further behind in the second and Boston would walk into the locker room at the half leading 62-39.
The Bobcats did actually outscore the Celtics in the third quarter but they were still able to cut the lead by just a single point and as the two opponents were heading into the fourth Boston was on top 88-66. At no time during the final 12 minutes of play was the Celtics lead threatened even lightly and Boston would go on to win the game handily.
Ray Allen would put up a game high 27 points 5 assists, 5 rebounds, 1 block and 1 steal while Kendrick Perkins recorded a double-double with 21 points, 12 boards and 3 blocks. Kevin Garnett scored 16 pointts, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal while Eddie House came in off of the bench and added 12 points and 2 rebounds.
Nazr Mohammed led the way for Charlotte as the veteran big man came in off the bench with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. Raymond Felton scored 14 points, 5 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals while Boris Diaw added 13 points, 2 rebounds and 1 assist. Stephen Graham had a nice night off the bench with 12 points, 5 rebounds, 2 blocks and 1 assists while Stephen Jackson would add 11 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 block. Boston with the win has a record of 14-4 and will play in San Antonio Thursday night against the Spurs while Charlotte falls to 7-10 and will next play Friday in New Jersey against the Nets.
