One of the most recent acquisitions of the Golden State Warriors, guard Raja Bell, according to Marc J. Spears of Yahoo! Sports, will be out for up to three months due to surgery to his left wrist; the wrist in question will be immobilized for six weeks.
Since being acquired from the Charlotte Bobcats along with Vladamir Radmanovic for Stephen Jackson and Acie Law, Bell has played in only one game for the Warriors. Interestingly enough, Bell’s $5.3 million contract is up after this season and he will subsequently become a free agent next summer. While there have been other teams inquiring about Bell’s availability, the fact that he will be out for quite some time has squashed any potential trade offers. Not to mention that Golden State has expressed an interest in possibly re-signing him.
