Cavaliers Hot Shooting Turns Bulls Into Hamburger! Cleveland Wins 107-81!

The Cleveland Cavaliers shot a torrid 51.3% (39-76) from the floor Friday night as they pummeled the visiting Chicago Bulls 105-87. LeBron James led the way for Cleveland recording a double-double with a game high 23 points and 11 assists. The Cavaliers also played intense defense especially in the first and third; the Bulls were led by Taj Gibson with a double-double including 14 points in the loss. Cleveland have now won 11 out of their last 13 games and have gone 14-3 since opening the campaign with an 0-2 start.
The Cavaliers would grab the advantage in the first as they would end the quarter on top 30-25. Chicago answered back in the second and the Cavaliers lead was a razor thin one point as the two teams entered the locker room at the half with the score 47-46.
Cleveland would take the game over in the third as they shut the Bulls down and would almost double the Chicago point total in the period. When the smoke cleared the Cavaliers headed into the fourth leading 76-61. The Bulls never came close to being a credible threat in the final 12 minutes of the game.
The “Chosen One” put on a show for the fans at the Q Friday night as the reigning NBA MVP recorded a double-double with 23 points, 11 assists and 6 rebounds in the Cavaliers victory. Mo Williams scored 15 points, 7 assists, 4 steals and 2 rebounds while Daniel Gibson also added 15 points, 3 rebounds, and 1 assist. Anderson Varejao came off the bench and had 10 points, 5 rebounds, 3 blocks and 1 assist.
Taj Gibson led the way for the Bulls with a double-double as he put 14 points on the scoreboard while pulling 13 rebounds off the back-board and he had one steal. Derrick Rose scored 13 points, 7 assists, 1 rebound and 1 steal while John Salmons had 12 points and 2 rebounds. Luol Deng added 11 points, 5 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Cleveland with the win now improves to a 14-5 record they will play in Milwaukee Sunday as they face the Bucks. Chicago now is 7-10 and will host the Toronto Raptors Sunday.
